Inside the Mennonite Information Center in Lancaster, visitors can view the replicated tabernacle, made to resemble the one the Bible says Moses brought from the mountain. Amish information exhibits are also on-site. Tours and biblical tabernacle reproductions are held one the hour from 9am to 4pm between April 1 to October 31, and three times a day from November 1 until March 31 at 10am, 12pm and 2pm. Not only is the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church important structurally, as is was built in 1879, but it is also socially significant. This location was part of the Underground Railroad and helped numerous slaves escape into the free community of Lancaster. Tours of the church are available Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 6pm.
